Personality Description
Emma wears many masks, so many even she isn't entirely certain when she's being genuine. She lives the life of a seductress, a siren that calls forth the hearts of powerful and corrupt men by adapting to their every want and need. That is until she has what she wants from them, & then she reveals her true intentions in their last moments of life.
Her sense of justice is the strongest force that drives her, as she truly believes her actions to be righteous. But beneath that surface there is much deeper roots from where that twisted justice came from. Enriched by soil that is the pain from being powerless.
That said Emma is rather lonely in her nearly decade long crusade to devour the one percent one man at a time. As no one except her former therapist has seen her true self, and their relationship is complicated to say the least.
Background
Emma's life was fairly normal in her early childhood, she lived in a quite French village with her mother Lucette. A former ballet dancer whose career was cut short by both an unplanned pregnancy and an injury to her face that left her disfigured. She was a kind and gentle woman, though also a bit fragile. They were poor, somewhat outcasts as Lucette was a single unwed mother, and Emma was a bit of a wild child. But overall they were happy, up until Emma was eight and her American father Broderick came into her life.
Broderick Robins was an immensely controlling and cruel narcissist, with an obsession for legacy. Unable to have more children with his own wife, he came looking for the child he had previously had no interest in what so ever. With his vast money and power he easily stole custody of Emma away from her mother. Never to hear from her or see her alive again.
For the next nine years Emma lived in extreme luxury and privelege, but also under extreme control as her father groomed her to be his perfect heir. She was very unhappy, suffocated by Broderick's high expectations and the psychological abuse he'd inflict when she didn't meet them. Her only reprieve was dancing, and the comforts her stepmother Catherine was allowed to give her.
Once she was a legal adult Emma sought out to find her mother, able to find her through her own intelligence and resourcefulness. When she found out what happened, her world was shattered. Following in a suicide attempt, which landed her in the care of psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter. He tapped into all of Emma's pain and most frighteningly her rage. Birthing a creature far more dangerous than even Broderick Robins, his money and power could not save him. The man went missing not long before Emma was deemed fit to no longer need Lecter's treatment.
Ever since Emma has lived the life she wanted and more, dissolved her father's estate and law firm, giving the overwhelming majority of his wealth. Now she seeks to rid the world of powerful rich men that were just like him and the other monsters he defended in court.
